Having been born on April 1, Jim had a great sense of humor and was a jokester. He was great at telling limericks and loved teasing. Jim enjoyed running, exercising and working in the yard. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park at a later date. Reagan Emerson Harmeyer, infant child of Ryan and Susan (Kurtz) Harmeyer, passed away on August 19, 2017. Reagan is survived by her parents, Ryan and Susan Harmeyer; two brothers, Clayton Christman and Isaac Christman; three sisters, Nadiya Christman, Arianna Christman and Everleigh Harmeyer; paternal grandparents, Darwin (Sheryl) Harmeyer ; maternal grandparents, James (Judy) Kurtz and Brenda Kurtz; paternal great grandparents, James (Elizabeth Pearl) Baughman; two uncles, Russell Harmeyer and Grant (Emily) Harmeyer; three aunts, Bethany (Joe) Carter, Wendy (Steve) Levine and Jennifer (Jason) Mears; and several cousins.

Pauline and Ken began their life together in Davenport, Iowa where he was a student at Palmer Chiropractic College. They moved to Harlan in 1949 when Ken graduated and opened his own chiropractic office. Pauline was a major support in the establishment and growth of this practice. She was also actively involved in Ken’s local, state and national political activities, particularly during the years he served as Harlan’s mayor. She was involved in many church ministries including assisting with funeral dinners. Pauline was an active member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan. She was especially honored to be invited to become one of the first Eucharistic Ministers in the Des Moines Catholic Diocese. She also worked at the blood bank and with the Myrtue Medical Center Auxiliary. For more than thirty years she served as volunteer coordinator for Harlan’s Mobile Meals. In 1976, she was named the Harlan Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. In 2008, Shelby County Mother’s Association selected her as the Shelby County Mother of the Year. She was extremely proud of her five children, eight grandchildren and her new great-grandson, all who affectionately call her “Polly.” She loved phoning and emailing her kids to keep track of all their activities. Pauline’s most cherished accomplishment was her family. Pauline was reborn to eternal life May 27, 2011 at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa after a three-year battle with breast cancer having attained the age of eighty-six years, one month and twenty-four days. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Ken, and her son Steve.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Circle Cemetery at a later date. She was born April 7, 1953, in War, West Virginia, to Mitchell and Ola (Click) Stanley. Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. On August 19, 1972, in Kendallville she married David L. Clouse. She moved to this area in 1960 from West Virginia. She was a homemaker. She loved her lawn and doing yard work. Wanda enjoyed going to garage sales, the bargain shop, and decorating her home for the holidays. Posting daily inspirational quotes on Facebook was her passion. Surviving are a daughter, Monica Clouse of Kendallville; three sons, Ronnie (Tracy) Stanley of Kendallville, Kevin (Stephanie) Clouse of Kendallville, and Jordan Clouse of Kendallville; eight grandchildren, Chelsey (Frank) Deaton, Tyler Hurst, Kylee Patterson, Gunner Lee Patterson, Sydnee Smith, Nicole Days, Michelle Days, and Shaun Days; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Deaton and Kamerin Michael Days; her mother, Ola Stanley of Kendallville; five sisters, Darlene (Henny) Terry of Brimfield, Sue (John) Copas of Ligonier, Joyce (Andy) Skinner of Rome City, Jeannie Stanley of Kendallville, and Donna Alberry of North Carolina; and three brothers, Larry (Kim) Stanley of Kendallville, Mitch (Crystal) Stanley of Ontario, Canada, and her twin, Harold Wayne (Cleta) Stanley of Hazard, Kentucky.
