The SAICE Geotechnical Division is pleased to present an online lecture: Overview Of Construction Dewatering Methods, Associated Risks And Treatment Methods Of Abstracted Groundwater For Construction Sites, which will be presented by Christoffel Botha and Jaap Berendsen from The Dewatering Institute
The presentation will highlight general risks to be reviewed when designing and operating groundwater control systems. It will also discuss methods available for treatment of the most common contaminates associated with abstracted groundwater due to dewatering operations.​

SPEAKERS 

 

 

Christoffel Botha has specialized in Construction Dewatering and Groundwater Control for over 16 years. He has designed, installed and operated more than 350 dewatering systems in Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East. Chris serves as Executive Member of the Advisory Council for The Dewatering Institute.

 

Jaap Berendsen specialises in Construction Dewatering and Water Treatment, with over 15 years experience. He has worked on key projects in Europe, North America and the Middle East on both the Consultant, Contractor and Specialist Sub-Contractor’s side. Jaap serves as Executive Member of the Advisory Council for The Dewatering Institute.
